Our kitchen remodel is finished and we absolutely love the renovation! Especially since every detail worked out just as I envisioned. However, working with top-notch professionals from Architect and Contractor to Retail Stores was key in the project coming off without a hitch.
Although being your own client has its challenges, my husband and I made decisions alongside our professional network intentionally without a timeline helping to take the pressure off. And talking through details with friends, measuring out our new layout and planning was also key for us. Having, for the most part, design decisions in place and products ordered months before the renovation took place we were able to move forward with the rest of our life!

And through it all, we enjoyed a Baby Shower for our first Grandchild. A visit to Cape Cod. And to Happy Valley for the Penn State Michigan Game. Plus lots of Fall Golf. Also, a business trip to Key Largo where I Paddle Boarded & learned how to make Ceviche. And for Craft Beer enthusiasts, the Ceviche was paired with Islamorada Beer. Then the birth of our Grandchild! So even though a renovation seems like a long daunting interruption, it’s all about the attitude you keep.
