The months leading up to the 2017 International Builders’ Show has been an exciting time at BlueStar. Our innovative 36” Built-in Refrigerator is now in homes across the country and it’s being recognized by industry leaders for its design and revolutionary features for food preservation. As we take one step closer to bringing you the complete BlueStar kitchen let’s take a moment and look back at the accolades we’ve received so far.
BlueStar Refrigerator Named Best in Show at 2015 Architectural Digest Home Design Show
BlueStar first previewed its’ built- in refrigerator in 2015 and it was awarded “Best in Show – Kitchen” Award by the International Furnishings and Design Association – New York Chapter (IFDA) at the 2015 Architectural Digest Show in New York City.
IFDA Award Winners are selected by a panel of eight industry experts that are known as style and trend spotters. The IFDA is the only all-industry association whose members provide services and products to the furnishings and design industry and is the “International Voice” for promoting excellence throughout the industry.
ADEX Honors BlueStar’s Cutting-Edge Design& Performance with Highest Level Award
The new BlueStar® chef-inspired Built-in Refrigerator captured the coveted Platinum ADEX Award. ADEX stands for Awards for Design Excellence and is among the largest and most prestigious awards program for product and project design in the Architecture and Design industry. Conducted each year by Design Journal, the annual competition draws approximately 2,852 entries from 500 companies.
Best of Year Honoree from Interior Design Magazine
BlueStar, manufacturer of high performance appliances for the home kitchen, was honored as a finalist at the prestigious Interior Design Magazine’s 2016 Best of Year (BoY) awards event in the kitchen appliance category for its new premium refrigeration line. The industry recognized the BlueStar Built-in Refrigerator for its commercial-level performance, innovative design and customization.
This special honor was bestowed upon BlueStar by both Interior Design magazine and the architecture and design community. This year, the Best of Year Awards celebrated its 11th anniversary and had 2,016 entries, from 38 different countries, in 130 product and project categories.
GOOD DESIGN Award for Innovation & Design
The GOOD DESIGN™ Award is conferred annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together with The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. The Museum received several thousand entries in 2016 from companies in over 55 countries. This year marked the most significant year for GOOD DESIGN™ with the world’s critical mass of FORTUNE 500 companies and the world’s foremost design firms participating.
Recognized as one of the most innovative and cutting-edge product designs around the world in 2016, the BlueStar® Built-in Refrigerator offers a seriously fresh take on premium food preservation that redefines the art of cooling. At this year’s International Builders’ Show in Orlando, FL, the BlueStar 36″ Built-in Refrigerator was selected as one of 2017’s Most Innovative Products by Beautiful Kitchens & Baths.
