Zoey and Boz use their home to "entertain all the time", and the BlueStar is what makes that kind of fun possible. Replacing the original 1929 Tappan Range in their home was a decision that took nearly a year to make, as the couple really spent some time researching the perfect oven. This process comes naturally to Zoey and Boz, as both have graduate degrees, and really know how to do their homework. The couple also "gets good grades in plays well with others", as they often allow visitors in their home to guest chef for the evening.

Zoey first learned to cook when both were attending grad school. She started with the Time/Life Series and cooked her way through the books and school. Along the way, she became a collector of many kitchen items, including vintage yellow ware, doll dishes, antique tins and Bakelite silverware. This eclectic mix is a perfect match to the new BlueStar Bordeaux Violet stove they choose to coordinate with the existing tile in the kitchen. "The home is all original", states Zoey, and that is the way they want to keep it. Their Tutor Style Home has been featured in the Tribune, but Zoey notes that all the furnishings have all changed and walls painted since the photoshoot.

Zoey Schrage, Full Disclosure

Favorite Ingredient: Zoey loves to cook with spices and her favorite is cardamom. Moroccan Chicken was her first encounter with cardamom and they have had an ongoing love affair ever since

Favorite tool: A friend's husband made a cutting board, or actually three cutting boards for Zoey, and she cannot be without them. Boz migrates toward the big chef knife as his favorite, so the couple seems to be perfectly matched.

Why BlueStar: During the year long search for the perfect stove, Zoey and Boz cooked on everything they considered, but nothing impressed them like the 22000 BTUs and the wok option of the BlueStar...and there was, of course, the color: Bordeaux Violet!

Unusual item in the tool box: That list is long, with collections galore. Zoey does, however, collect and use purple and white dishes, complimenting her BlueStar.
